Guest Ratings & Reviews
Despite some shortcomings such as dated rooms and limited bathroom amenities, the FH Grand Mediterraneo Hotel offers clean and ample renovated rooms. The hotel closes at midnight with no advertised room service. The service may come off as indifferent and cold, lacking extra gestures like recognizing special occasions. The location, although a bit of a trek to central Florence, is easily accessible. The dining experience may fall short with slow service and mediocre options.
The hotel's location is convenient for exploring Florence and its sights, but some noise may be heard in the rooms. Although the rooms lack soundproofing, they feature a great shower, and it's easy to walk to the Arno River.
My stay at this hotel was comfortable and near museums. The rooms were clean, spacious, and complete, making it a cozy place to relax. However, there was some noise from conversations in adjacent rooms. The service was good overall, with the staff being very accommodative and providing us with a lot of information for our trip. The location was exceptional, just a short walk from the major attractions in Florence. The dining options were decent, although there could be more variety, especially during breakfast.
When I arrived, the hotel was easy to find, not far from the historic center, which was very convenient. The room layout was okay, but it was quite small. Unfortunately, it seemed like they didn't clean the floors properly, only making the beds. The location was nice, offering a reasonable walk to Florence's main attractions, although a bit further than ideal. The dining experience left much to be desired with limited options available.
The hotel is located in a busy area along the Arno River, offering a beautiful view of a small park. My room in the new south wing was smaller than expected, but the service provided at GRAND HOTEL MEDITERRANEO was exceptional. Unfortunately, the dining experience at Taverna Restaurant left much to be desired. Overall, the location was convenient but not very calm, and the price was reasonable considering the mixed aspects of the stay.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The room, although spacious, was a bit small for a double room and lacked enough storage space. The proximity to the public restroom was a downside, but the room itself was adequately heated. However, the lack of drawer space and luggage stand was inconvenient.
During my stay, I found the hotel to be in need of repairs, which was a bit of a downer. However, the service was friendly and helpful, making my experience more pleasant. The location was a bit far from the main attractions, but still manageable. The dining experience left much to be desired with poor quality food.
